The Modification that you can add to your order will allow you to use your DVD and or Bluray from other regions then Europe to play without issues.
For Europe, this modification is not needed unless you have international other region media, it will play region 2 DVD and Bluray Zone B.
The Standard modification will need you to perform a sequence of keys to change zone. Like press the following buttons in sequence on the remote: mute, mute, mute, pure audio, then press the correct number for the zone you want to change to. For DVD it is then region free and bluray zone can be selected.
